About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Team Leader to join our team. You will play a key role in driving an efficient and successful delivery service from our Delivery Centre or Hub, ensuring a safe working environment for all while delivering excellent customer, colleague, and stakeholder experiences. You will support the wider depot management team in achieving and exceeding all KPI targets and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a performance culture within the Delivery Centre / Hub, motivating and inspiring the team to achieve the best results.
  • Act as a champion for company values and ensure they are embedded effectively.
  • Own all transport elements of customer service, meeting or exceeding satisfaction targets.
  • Manage vehicle routing applications (e.g., Paragon) for optimal results.
  • Monitor and deliver against KPIs for transport compliance, accident management, cost, and productivity.
  • Coordinate daily activity scheduling and ensure effective asset management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and legislation are adhered to at all times.
  • Support depot management in achieving all targets and objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Broad experience in logistics operations; ideally CPC holder.
  • Previous leadership experience in a B2C multi-drop, multi-temperature environment.
  • Strong operational measurement and improvement skills.
  • Ability to map and improve end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Highly organised with exceptional planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Strategic problem-solving ability and confident decision-making.
  • Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Commercially focused and committed to achieving targets.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with an empathetic and empowering style.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
