Depot Activation Manager
Overview
The Depot Activation Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of four Depot Activation Representatives operating across multiple Cash & Carry sites, nationally. The role ensures supplier contractual compliance, strong product visibility, and effective in-depot sales execution while driving team performance, consistency, and high operational standards. This is a field-based role and includes a car allowance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, manage, and support a team of four Depot Activation Representatives across a multi-site territory
- Set clear objectives and KPIs aligned to sales, compliance, and merchandising standards
- Coach, train, and develop team members to maximise performance and product knowledge
- Conduct regular field visits, meetings, and one to one performance reviews
- Motivate the team to deliver consistent execution and strong customer engagement
Compliance, Merchandising & Standards
- Ensure all Cash & Carry depots meet supplier contractual display agreements
- Oversee the quality, placement, and maintenance of all display materials
- Ensure product ranges are positioned to maximise visibility and customer opportunity
- Maintain high standards of presentation, compliance, and brand representation across all sites
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Drive focused product and range sales through effective in-depot activity
- Support the team in building strong relationships with depot staff and customers
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, distribution, and promotional impact
- Lead by example through hands-on support when required
Stock & Reporting
- Monitor stock levels across depots and address availability issues
- Analyse performance data and team feedback to identify trends and opportunities
- Provide accurate reporting on compliance, sales activity, and depot performance
- Act as the key point of contact between the field team and internal stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in field sales, merchandising, or depot/cash & carry environments
- Previous people management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and organisational skills
- Commercially aware with a focus on driving results and standards
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Able to work independently in a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence required
