Are you passionate about social media and ready to take the reins of our convenience retail brands? As our Social Media Executive, you'll be at the forefront of developing and executing our social media strategy across multiple brands. You'll use your creativity and strategic thinking to enhance our online presence, drive sales, and boost brand awareness.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement social media strategies to meet business objectives, driving sales, generating income, and increasing brand engagement.
  • Content Creation: Produce engaging content for our channels, including blogs, articles, posts, and multimedia.
  • Campaign Management: Align social media activities with our promotional calendar and deliver comprehensive social media campaigns for Costcutter, Central Convenience Stores, Select Convenience, and Best-One.
  • Income Generation: Identify new revenue streams and opportunities to monetise social media with suppliers.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the social media budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with marketing objectives and KPIs.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse and report on the effectiveness of social media strategies, providing insights and recommendations to improve our digital marketing efforts.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and competitor activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create and execute brand-led and promotional content to drive store footfall and sales.
  • Demonstrate ROI to suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Grow and develop our social media channels, aiming to be a leader in the convenience sector.
  • Ensure accuracy and relevance of social media activity, linking promotions with Trading to meet income targets.
  • Support Trading by engaging with suppliers in meetings.
  • Stay on top of trends and innovations with sound content management and creative skills.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in social media is desirable.
  • Platform Expertise: An strong understanding of social media channels Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. Familiarity with Meta Business Suite for paid campaigns.
  • Copywriting Skills: Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt to different tones of voice, high standards of proofreading, and impeccable spelling.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinker with the ability to bring fresh ideas to life.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with scheduling tools like Sprout Social is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Approachable, friendly, and empathetic, with the ability to relate to various stakeholders.
  • Influencing Ability: Strong communicator who can engage and influence effectively in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive attitude with a knack for spotting opportunities for improvement and taking the lead.
  • Problem Solver: Enthusiastic about challenges and finding solutions.
