About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a Picking Supervisor to join our team. You will support and manage areas of the warehouse, shop floor, and Goods In department, ensuring all depot KPIs, targets, and objectives are achieved and exceeded. This role is key to maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team to deliver excellent customer service and meet KPI targets.
  • Ensure daily pick targets are achieved and monitor progress.
  • Cascade information from daily huddles to team members.
  • Ensure pickers’ IDs are correctly inputted into scanners and download orders.
  • Issue scanners to the picking team and oversee order assembly and marshalling.
  • Identify and resolve short pick issues promptly.
  • Ensure cage and pallet weights are accurate.
  • Validate returns against original transactions and process credit notes the same day.
  • Work collaboratively with team leaders and supervisors to achieve depot objectives.
  • Maintain open communication and ensure team members understand expectations.
  • Promote team development through coaching and ongoing training.
  • Ensure adequate staffing resources to meet business needs.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
  • Carry out key holder responsibilities when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in warehouse operations and picking environments.
  • Sound knowledge of product areas.
  • Highly organised with exceptional planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with clear delegation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • A champion of the company’s core behaviours and values.
